The fish is acting more like a normal beta, not letting itself float, but I can't tell if it has been eating the beta pellets I've been giving it. It is in 78f water, mostly RODI, but since I needed a bacteria culture, I had to use brown water from a 50g that is supposed to become a planted tetra tank, but for the past month or two has just had a leeching 3ft piece of driftwood in it, with a piece of philodendron growing out of it that had broken off my plant. I also had used Biodigest to jumpstart bacteria, and used Prime.
I just did a water change a few minutes ago, using just RODI this time. I've been doing water changes twice a day, afraid of ammonia buildup in a new setup.
