@Dave & Ben McGrew (Fish Folk) Thank you. I use a water pump to raise the water up to the planter, where for media I have clay pebbles. Then, to drain the water back into the tank, I a bell siphon that allows me to control the water flow, so the plants are not always submerged in water

@mhmoro thank you Manuel, I live in Arlington. This was an idea I had for while where I would try to keep plants thriving on water from the tank, so they would feed from the nitrates produced by the tank. So far it's been a success, not plants were during the process and the nitrates levels are very stable.
