10/13/2019: NEW UPDATE FROM TED JUDY
"The site is back up. If there were auction lots entered between Wednesday and Saturday late afternoon, they are probably missing. When we changed back from the new server to the previous server it had to be done quickly and remotely (the programmer helping us was not in a place he could do much), so a data back up from the time that the new server was running has not been done. I do not think that it will be done today, as the programmer is not available."
10/12/2019: Ted and Megan migrated MGA from the temporary server to the cloud-based server. There have been some performance issues resulting in the program timing out while reading/writing to the database. Also, the password reset functionality hasn't been added to the new server yet, so no password resets until next week sometime. Ted is working with a programmer to "tune" our requirements. Hopefully service will be restored soon but probably not over the weekend. We all owe Ted and Megan a debt of gratitude for looking out for us by delaying the second migration until after our Fall All-Day Auction. They are undertaking an onerous task on behalf of the hobby and all the clubs who depend on MGA.
9/21/2019: MGA worked without issues for the Cataclysm and Keystone Clash auctions, the first big auctions since the server transfer. Ted and Megan McGuire will be meeting with a programmer this week to discuss fixes, updates, and pricing. Once critical fixes are addressed (such as password reset), Ted and Megan will lead an effort to collect requested design updates.
Password Resets: The MGA password reset function has been broken for years. This issue is at the very top of the list for MGA fixes in the near future. In the meantime, if you have forgotten your password, or your password isn't working, you may email Ted Judy at tjudy@tedsfishroom.com or Megan McGuire at megan1967@gmail.com and they will reset your password for you. When requesting a password reset, specify the email address with which you registered and are trying to reset the password. Several people have registered multiple accounts with different emails under the same name. It's up to you to specify the email address for which the password will be reset. It would also be thoughtful to let them know how much you appreciate all of their efforts to manage MGA.
If you need to have your MGA password reset, please do this as soon as possible before the Fall All-Day Auction on SUNDAY, October 6 so you can enter your items and print out labels timely. We will not be able to do this for you at the auction. Please plan ahead.
Remember that MGA is entirely separate from the PVAS website. Resetting the password for MGA has nothing to do with resetting your password for the PVAS website.
