My name is Rafael, but can call me Rafa if you like. I've been in the hobby for almost 15 years where I have kept all sorts of fish ( from small neons to a red face piranhas). I'm so glad I was able to find this group where I can share some of my experiences and experiments like this one.
I called it "the neon world". Here, I'm try to experiment growing plants on top using the water nutrients from the tank.
Hope you like it.
If you have any questions on how I built this setup, I'll be more than glad to answer
Wow nice set up, very pretty.
Have you tried cryptocorynes which grow either in water or above water?
Your set up looks good.
Very clever set up!
Welcome aboard! I've wanted to build something similar. I love this design, and your aquarium is lovely. How do you lift the water, and drain the water? What is your media in the plant box above? How do you balance inflow and outflow so as neither to flood nor dry out the box above?
Hi Rafa,
Wecome to PVAS. Interesting setup. Could you explain it?, I see water circulating from the tank to the plants on top.
Are you local?
Manuel
