Thanks Enrique ! I wonder if this is cheaper than my own RO filter. With my own, I have to pay the county for water and drainage. Plus about 30 to 40% of the water is wasted.
i live out in the country and tap water is about 200. I use tap water and rainwater harvesting. I will do a 50% change and see what happens. Will just get RO water this time.
Is your water straight from the tap that hard? or your current tank TDS? TDS can rise after a while of topping off and evaporation. If your tap is less, just do some water changes. If your tap is coming out that high you will need to get an RO system or a water softener.
the rainwater was 12 TDS
Warrenton County tap water was 211 TDS
I was able to bring it down to 445. Not that good, but still better than 730. I did a 50% change with the rainwater I harvested.
