I’ve taken over the badly neglected aquarium at my daughter’s elementary school. I managed to relocate the numerous and overgrown goldfish leaving me an empty slate!
But I need gravel- brown and/or black, used or new. It’s a 90 gallon tank, so I’m seeking about two cubic feet/two 5 gallon buckets worth. If you have only a little bit, I’ll take it! Currently I have about one half bucket-full. Whatever you can part with I’ll take. Thank you in advance!
I'll have about 2-3" of marble sized river stone in a 65 gal tank that I can give you after I rehome the fish in the tank.
I don't have any extra myself and won't be at the meeting this week. But if you want to do sand, Black Diamond Blasting Sand from tractor supply is super cheap for a 40lb bag. Just make sure you get the coarse grit and not the fine powder. And rinse it really well.
For anyone who can donate brown or black substrate, I’d love to offer you something for your generosity. I have the following if you’re interested:
Black-bar Endler’s
Assorted fancy guppies
Fundulopanchex gardneri, orange variety
Bristle-nose pleco babies- albino and marble
Water sprite
Java moss
Jungle vals
Mini vals
Amazon swords- about 3-4 inches
Please, let me know what interest you,
Raymond
I have some brown gravel in fairfax va
I have a bag of of Onyx you can have, though, you'll have to rinse the heck out of it to keep it from clouding the tank. If you want it, I can bring it to the next meeting or you can pick it up from my home in Chantilly.
