I've got lots of fish and plants to bring to the Great Fish Tailgate on October 4! I'll be at the Tailgate only from 1-2 p.m. Here's a list of the fish, with the preorder prices. The prices are quite low, because I have so many fish after six months of no PVAS meetings! I may bring additional fish (same species) to the Tailgate, but the prices will be higher for the ones that are not sold beforehand. I'll happily take payments through the Venmo app or the Cash app or cash at the Tailgate.
If you're not coming to the Great Fish Tailgate but would like to get some of the fish, you would be welcome to pick them up at my house. I'm in DC at ZIP Code 20012, just over the border from Silver Spring, Maryland.
If you'd like to order something, please either reply in this thread or send me a message using the Chat function in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
Matt
Fish
Corydoras CW014, the orange stripe Corydoras. 6 for $20. Different species than the gold laser Corydoras, with a slightly more orange stripe that does not extend quite as far as the stripe in the gold laser.
Corydoras CW097. 6 for $20. These are F2, Don Kinyon having collected the grandparents in Peru. This is a rarely seen species. In my experience, adults will spawn as soon you turn on the powerhead in their tank.
Corydoras species unknown, possibly schultzei. $2 each, for a mix of adults and juveniles. Very prolific breeding Corydoras.
Anomalochromis thomasi, the African butterfly cichlid. $2 each for juveniles; $3 for adults. Relatively peaceful dwarf cichlid from the rivers of West Africa. Very easy to keep. They are difficult to sex, however, so I can't promise you that you will get a pair if you order two.
Glowlight Danios, Danio choprae. $4 each. Small egg scatterer. Stock photo, because these fish are constantly in motion. SOLD OUT
Dwarf Ancistrus, species unknown. $2 each for juveniles. Grow to about four or five inches. Relatively easy to breed.
Plants
Pickerel weed, in a pot. $10. Native pond plant that will overwinter in our area. Easy to grow in ponds and will attract pollinators when it flowers. Will also grow in wet areas of the yard.
Arrowhead, Sagittaria latifolia, in a pot. Also a native native pond plant that will overwinter in our area. $10.
Miniature cattails, potted. $15. Rarely seen plant. Great for a pond or boggy area. Grows to about 4 feet tall. I have not had any catkins on these yet, but it may require time and a sunnier location.
Light. I've got a 48" Fluval Planted Tank LED light for sale for $25. It's the first generation of the Fluval Planted Tank LEDs. It works fine, especially for low and medium light plants. I'm selling it because I upgraded to another model.
Matt,

Thanks
