I was lucky enough to be apart of the International Shrimp Contest this past weekend down in North Carolina at the Aquatic Expo and all I can say is wow.... I got to meet some amazong breeders from all over the world and some of which I have already talked to online many times but finally got to meet in person. The even was fantastic and the quality of shrimp from both over seas and here in the US were top notch. I only entered 1 category this year since it was going to be my first compitition and to my surprise I took 3rd place the Caridina Galaxy Fishbone Category. There were a total of 8 entries only 1 other from the US like me. To here from the judges that my shrimp could stand toe to toe with some of the best breeders in the world was something I will remember for the rest of my life. Mine scored a 9.3 and the 1st place scored a 9.43 so it was very close and the judges gave me great feedback for what to look for going forward to refine them and possible take first place next year. Below is a picture of my entry.

Congratulations!
Glad to have a shrimp expert and champion in the club!
What was the difference between the first and second place? Size? Pattern? Color?
That's amazing, congratulations!!!
