Hi PVAS, these critters keeps popping up in my shrimp tank. I keep siphoning them out, but they are good at hiding and reproducing. I thought maybe they are seed shrimps or cyclops. But after watching some videos online, I don't think they are anymore. Can someone identify them please, and if you know how to get rid of them, that would be even better. I put some guppies in there hoping they would eat them, but they like a hard shell, so guppies not liking them too much.
Thanks,
kai
Seed shrimp.
I see. Thank you.
The video is very fuzzy which makes an ID difficult but judging by the way they move they are seed shrimp which are harmless and show that the ecosystem is doing well. if you don't want a ton of them limit your feeding and remove any uneaten food after about an hour. I have them in all of my shrimp tanks.
Hard to see, but I think they're scuds. Great fish food!
