Agreed on scuds not being a friend of other shrimplets. Could be that the shrimplets are preyed upon, or simply are unable to outcompete them for resources as scuds seem more prolific to me... My research has been limited and inconsistent, although personally I am leaning towards both and try to remove scuds from my shrimp tanks- excellent food for other tanks. Also agreed on neo shrimp voraciously eating anything dead or close, including scuds... Would imagine the opposite is also true.
Don't know who lived. They disappeared into another part of the heavily planted tank in dim light. Based upon seeing juvenile shrimp, I sure I get a few shrimplets although I can't see them in the foliage, especially the subwassertang clumps. The aquarium is a community tank with some CPD who I suspect also eat shrimplets. There may be a couple of other fish as well but it is hard to see.

What was the outcome? Who lived?
