Teachers and Tanks Program

Children are the future of our hobby and PVAS is committed to nurturing the next generation of fish-keepers. PVAS frequently receives requests to set up tanks in schools and other public places. We rely on donations of goods for each tank installation, but welcome monetary contributions towards the program to fund the purchase of supplies that we cannot collect from the membership.

Give A Kid A Tank Program

Every holiday season members and sponsors of PVAS group together to give Eclipse Three Gallon tanks to needy kids through Our Neighbor's Child, a non-profit, community based organization that provides holiday gifts for low income children in Northern Virginia. In 2008, ONC gave gifts to 2300 children and PVAS donated five tanks, which were enthusiastically accepted by ONC. This year, PVAS donations provided 15 tanks to ONC, with three additional tanks from Marineland. Donations are accepted year-round for this important program!

Support PVAS

PVAS runs a variety of programs and has operating costs in a number of areas. Like many not-for-profits we often find ourselves in need of supporting funds for the club and the good work we do in the community. Your donations help to keep us on target.
