In-Room Fish Sales
In the Holiday Inn there are 25 rooms available that have a large picture window that may be open to viewing on the Atrium (first floor) and Mezzanine Level (second floor).
Twin double bed rooms with a large picture window are available on a first sign-up basis via direct hotel reservation, not the 800 number. Please call the Holiday Inn Laurel West at 301-776-5300 and asked to be placed in the "Catfish Convention" block of rooms.
To ensure that you have a viewing room contact sitecat@pvas.com. This type of room is limited in quantity, although other hotel rooms may be used for in-room fish sales (except for the 6th floor deluxe rooms since the elevators to the 6th floor are accessed only by using a 6th floor room key).
Please note: The registered guests are responsible to Holiday Inn for any damages that may occur in their hotel room.
During the All-Aquarium Catfish Convention 2008, registered convention attendees may sell fish from their hotel guest rooms. No fish or plants may be sold in public areas of the hotel or on the hotel grounds (no exceptions are permitted by hotel security). In-room fish sellers must be a registered convention attendee to conduct in-room sales and the room must be booked to the “Catfish Convention”.
To participate in this program registered convention attendees must have their "In-Room Sales Bulletin Board Notice" approved by the In-Room Fish Sale Coordinator. The In-Room Fish Sales Bulletin Board will be posted in a visible place for all convention attendees to view during the convention.
An In-Room Fish Sales Registration Fee of $10.00 (USD currency or check or money order payable to: PVAS Catfish 2008) is required to participate in this program. One 8.5 x 11 inch paper ad will be placed on the bulletin board for each $10.00 fee paid.
