The closest airport is Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) that services many Airlines who offer discount programs. The hotel is approximately 20 miles from the airport.
Other area airports include Ronald Regan National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Both of these airports are long distanced from the hotel. Therefore, vehicle rentals are highly recommended.
Travel Information:
Holiday Inn Laurel West is located just off of I-95 in Laurel, which is about halfway between Baltimore and Washington, DC. Take I-95 to Maryland Exit 33B, Rt. 198 West towards Burtonsville. At the first stoplight turn left onto Sweitzer Lane. The hotel is immediately on the left after the Exxon service station.

We sincerely apologize for the problems some conventioneers are experiencing in booking rooms at the convention hotel. Please be assured that there are sufficient rooms (207) available. We ask that you please follow the procedures outlined below or proceed immediately to step 5.
- (301) 776-5300. When hotel employee answers, please state "I want to make an 'In House Registration'."

Additional room nights: If you plan to arrive earlier than the start of the convention or stay after the convention, mention the key words when making your reservations and the special rate will remain $110.00 + taxes for any additional night you want stay at the hotel.
Rooms: Guest rooms have twin double beds or king sized beds. Smoking rooms are only available on the fourth floor and have either king beds or twin double beds. Deluxe up scaled rooms are available on the 6th floor for an additional cost of $10 per night: for a total of $120.00 + taxes. An additional fee of $350.00 per stay is required if you want a smoking room on the sixth floor. Accessible rooms are available.
The twin double bed rooms with a large picture window are available on a first sign-up basis via direct hotel reservation, not the 800 number. Please call the Holiday Inn Laurel West at 301-776-5300 and asked for the "Catfish Convention" rate.
